Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2249 consists of 11 papers that examine wave velocity estimation; non-lane-based car-following model; effects of turning maneuvers and route choice on a simple network; driving behavior, mental workload, and psycho-spacing models in fog; modeling driver behavior at freeway–ramp merges; new model for variable speed limits; simulation of driver behavior with agent-based back-propagation neural network; interrelations of reaction time, driver sensitivity, and time headway in congested traffic; correlated parameters in driving behavior models; simulations of freeway traffic; and urban lane-changing maneuvers.
