Abstract

The Danish Road Directorate has recently opened an Internet homepage showing real time traffic information concerning the traffic on the motorways around Copenhagen. Bringing live real time data out onto the Internet was challenging, as most of the tools available today are primarily designed for static information. The paper presents the experience gained and provides a model for the considerations that should be made before and in the process of publishing live traffic information on the Internet.
