Traffic injury in urban environment

Abstract

The detailed injury mechanisms for traffic accidents in urban areas are discussed. The data presented come from a representative sample of accidents examined in Birmingham, England, using on-the-spot techniques. Injury patterns for pedestrians, motorcyclists and front seat car occupants are discussed for pedestrians and motorcyclists.
