Abstract
Congesting is increasing in the State of California. In addition to more people coming to the State, people are finding the need to make more trips. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is working to alleviate that congestion by emphasizing their efforts in three specific areas: new construction, traffic demand strategies and traffic management. In this paper, emphasis is placed on the current and future traffic management strategies.
