Abstract

The design, development, and testing of strategies for control of traffic within an urban freeway corridor in Dallas, is documented. A multilevel control strategy is developed for four elements of the study: freeway, frontage roads, arterial streets, and driver information. A hardware system design is developed and a central computer and minicomputer system for corridor control is implemented.
