Abstract

This paper deals with how a vehicle which is travelling along a two-lane road is influenced by the simplified and idealized type of traffic which is supposed to frequent the road in question. When the vehicle under consideration catches up a slower vehicle then, because of the traffic in the opposite direction and the structure of the road, it is supposed to travel a certain distance behind the slower vehicle before an overtaking becomes possible.
