Abstract

Techniques, based largely on overseas practice, have been developed in Australia for both the measurement and the prediction of traffic noise. These techniques are described in the paper, along with examples of their application. In particular, a brief summary is given of the performance and accuracy of traffic noise prediction procedures used in Australia.
