Abstract

The Hyogo Prefectural Police plans to introduce the Environment Protection Management Systems (EPMS) for decreasing noise and other pollution in 1999. To investigate the relationship between traffic noise and the current state of traffic, in preparation for the introduction of the system, noise study was conducted in 1998. In this paper, the outline of measures to decrease traffic noise and EPMS control methods based on the surveys and analyses on traffic noise are described. (A*)
