Abstract

Risk driving behavior is a dynamic and complex reality, as demonstrated by the increasing number of auto accidents and various approaches that have attempted to explain the risk behavior of drivers in different ways. In this study it is proposed to operationalize the concept of risk behavior in traffic, based on an analysis of literature and continuing with content analysis of representations made by drivers. Risk behavior is associated both with contextual variables and structural ones, involving a cost-benefit ratio. (Author/publisher)
