Abstract

This publication consists of 18 papers concerned with traffic signal systems including performance measures for adaptive signal control; calibration of platoon dispersion model; impacts of transit priority on signal coordination; prediction of red light running using inductive-loop detectors; modeling of auxiliary through lanes; and predicting distribution of link travel times for urban signalized roads. Papers of this issue of TRR also address dynamic traffic assignment and signal control with cell transmission models; parameters for traffic signal timing; long-term benefits of adaptive traffic control during peak hours; integrated corridor traffic optimization; actuated control on multilane approaches; transit signal priority at fixed-time signalized intersections; barrier-free ring structures and pedestrian overlaps in signalized intersection control; portable toolboxes for monitoring signal operations; dynamic lane grouping at isolated intersections; an algorithm for conflicting transit signal priority requests; transit signal priority options for a bus rapid transit line; and transit signal priority and late-bus recovery at the signalized-intersection level.
