Abstract
Information is given on many models of traffic signal equipment in use in Ireland. It enables local authority staff to carry out functional testing, rudimentary detector and timing checks to determine whether or not equipment is working efficiently and is maintained correctly. Guidelines on administrative procedures, systems for filling fault reports and suggestions about maintenance contracts are presented.
