Abstract

Traffic survey by use of aerial photographs is highly advantageous in that the traffic situation over a wide area can be known simultaneously, the survey can be conducted without the drivers being aware of it and without involving a lot of labour, in addition to the fact that data compilation of the survey can be conducted indoors. However, there is the disadvantage that although a wide area can be studied at one time, the method inherently is limited by the time factor.
