Abstract
The study comprises of accidents at 435 grade intersections between distributor roads in the built-up area of Gothenburg during 1971. It was found that for three-leg intersections the most usual type of accident were accidents when turning off, accidents caused by vehicles meeting at right angles, and single accidents. The most usual type for four-leg intersections are accidents when turning off, accidents caused by vehicles meeting at right angles, and rear-end collisions.
