Abstract

The Federal Urban Mass Transit Programme (FUMTP) in Nigeria was established in 1988 by the government. Through this programme, public owned transport companies and to a lesser extent private operators are receiving assistance to repair their vehicle fleet. In this paper, the training requirements and experience to date in all transport sectors is briefly described.
