Abstract

This paper introduces the trans-border implementation of the RDS/TMC between Germany, Italy, France and Spain according to the developments of the SERTI project and the definitions of the Pan-European Service for Agreed Layer for European RDS-TMC "ALERT" within the context of the FORCE-ECORTIS project. It summarises the last main results achieved amongst the partners of the member states and it wishes to communicate them. These results mainly concern: (1) the technical choices allowing continuous reception; (2) the organisational choices; and (3) the deployment of trans-border RDS-TMC services on the SERTI network. They guarantee technically a wide southern RDS/TMC Euroregion service and open the European market for the RDS traffic information telematic receivers.
