Abstract

The need of a decrease of the use of private cars and, in connection with that, a substantial higher use of public transport, is widely recognized. Transferiums, points of exchange between the automobile system and the public transport system, make it possible to connect both systems. By combining the advantages of both systems, such a combined use will result in many cases in the highest trip quality.
