Abstract

A comparatively simple, three degree-of-freedom mathematical model for investigating the influence of some of the design factors of cars is described, as is the test and analysis method for measurements of vehicle frequency responses from a pseudo-random steer input test. Results are presented to illustrate the quality of the test, and its ability to detect vehicle changes.
