Abstract

This issue consists of 19 papers that explore transit bus emissions, determinants of delay incident occurrence, data for national transit database section 15 reporting, regularity of service, passenger flow patterns, impacts of holding control strategies, and transit performance. It also examines real-time transit information, proof-of-payment patterns to help reduce fare evasion, measuring and controlling subway fare evasion, contactless bank cards as fare media, ferry systems, wait time on public transit travelers’ perceptions, rail transit capacity models, level-of-service measures, customer loyalty, measurement of travel fatigue, intermodal services for special events, and redistribution of empty vehicles for personal rapid transit.
