This paper outlines an alcohol and other drug educational programme with bus operators at Transperth, Perth's passenger carrying transit authority. The content of the programme is discussed, such as teaching bus operators how to work out their BAC and encouraging them to examine their health beliefs. To data 1000 bus operators have participated in the programme and their evaluations of the programme are discussed. The programme was a major contributory factor in Transperth being awarded the 1990 Alcohol Awareness Week award, and is a forerunner to policy development in alcohol and other drugs at Transperth.
