Abstract

The development of new mathematical procedures for the calculation of the properties of clothoid transition curves and their application to a number of highway alignment geometry problems are described. Three applications are described dealing with alignment geometry problems in which it is necessary to find the properties of intermediate points on an alignment. In each application a general problem is developed.
