Abstract

This paper is summary market research. The authors discuss the connection between transport policy and economics at the Commonwealth level in Australia. They then consider the role of government and trends in transport policy and conclude with some reflections on aspects of the relationship between transport economics and policy, including the role of the Bureau of Transport and Regional Economics (BTRE).
