Abstract

This paper presents a project that has been financed by the Swedish Road Administration and carried out by WSP Analysis & Strategy in collaborationwith the system provider Info24. The objective of the project has been toconstruct, put in use and to market an Internet based Mass Data Base (MDB) for advertising demand and surplus of soil materials connected to construction projects. By replacing a manual coordination of demand and surplus of soil materials by an Internet based market place where supply and demand of different soil materials are simultaneously advertised is believed toachieve a higher degree of utilization of residue materials and reduce transports.
