Abstract

This paper is concerned with noise and vibration and frequently with their effect on people. It describes techniques for quantifying comfort and loss of comfort in terms directly comparable with the loss of control. The most significant benefits from the use of such techniques are that decisions involving other people's environment can be made rationally.
