Abstract
This book takes a fresh look at issues involved in the formulation of a transport plan for a large city. The book reviews policies in all the major fields of road improvements, the operation of public transport, and the management of traffic. Priorities and improvements suggested throughout the book are relevant to the problems of transport planning in other large cities.
