Abstract

The proceedings are presented in four volumes each containing the presentations on specific subjects. Volume I (36 papers) covers ethical issues and public involvement, transport planning, and directions for future research. Topics covered by Volume 2 (41 papers) are freight demand management, intercity passenger transport, and urban transport objectives and operations. Volume 3 (46 papers) deal; with urban traffic management and services, car ownership and use, travel behaviour, and transport modelling. Volume 4 (38 papers) discusses education and research, environmental nuisances, and road safety.
