Abstract
The general theme of this book relates to the analysis of risk in transport. The authors and papers represent a variety of disciplines. Therefore, in order to provide some structure to the contents, the eleven papers that are published herein have been ordered such that: those which are essentially informative or data-oriented are grouped together at the beginning, followed in order by case studies, straightforward methods and techniques, new approaches, policy, and finally controversial issues.
