Abstract

In this thesis the influence of different and combined ways of motion perception on performance (tracking accuracy) and on control behaviour (measured frequency response function of the human operator) in continious, compensatory disturbance and target tasks was studied. Models of control behaviour were applied to measured data of manned, moving-base simulator experiments in order to gain insight into the manner in which different ways of motion perception affect performance of pilots (tracking accuracy), and control behaviour in disturbance and target tasks.
