Abstract

The creation of regional government offers the change of bringing innovative institutional approaches to transportation problems into existence sooner within urban areas. A Metropolitan Transportation Commission that is essentially a planning and coordinating organization concerned with land-use transportation relationships, regional versus local consideration etc. is another way that can be effective.
