Transportation policy in relation to the environmental values in the Netherlands.

Abstract

The short term policy of the Dutch government with regards to the improvement of the environment and to the change in the modal split and in the driving behaviour. Ways and mean to possible achieve are (1) an improvement of the usage of bike-traffic and public transport; (2) a reduction of the (car)mobility; and (3) a better environment in the city centre and the residential areas.
