Abstract

With the rapid growth of Singapore's population and the increasing car ownership and the old city structure many transportation problems arise, which are examined. Singapore's economic and physical development program, at one and the same time, introduces major problems in transportation planning, and provides exceptional opportunities for solutions. This program is discussed.
