Abstract

An information system with a high degree of organization of document handling and information transfer is demanded. Financial support for information facilities is difficult to obtain. There are a few selected effective information systems that serve individual modes of transportation. The opportunity exists to incorporate individual elements, engaged in transportation, in a national network. The concept of the network will avoid a monolithic system and encourage flexibility.
