Abstract

The principal subject of this paper is a method of arriving at the "best" split of transportation funds among competing highway projects. Some of the conflicts which presently arise because of data taken or supplied in isolation from realistic situations can be resolved by the use of a proposed new method of accident reporting. A computer program is used to show how funds should be reallocated as the resources available grow or shrink.
