Abstract

The system described proportions the brake force at each wheel according to the dynamic load on that wheel in a corner manoeuvre. Brake pressure is modulated when the brakes are applied in a corner and also when a severe steering input is made whilst braking in a straight line. The paper discusses the need for such a system and presents an analysis of system performance on a typical. passenger car.
