Abstract

Deformation of the articular surfaces of a single cervical vertebrae may be produced by traumatic damage and may cause asymmetry of the apophyscal joints, by this way resulting in an alteration of the postural, moving and protecting function of the cervical spine. Clinical symptoms may appear only after a certain latent period.
