Abstract

With the aid of an organization based on an efficient medical assistance within the first hour after an accident, it is possible to reduce the number of traffic fatalities with 25%. Therefore an integral first- aid system is to be set up, in which 15 to 16 trauma centra should be organised. The costs for such are acceptable, but there are at the moment no special first aid doctors. A plea is held for a test area where the infrastructure came up to the requirements and where some experience with such a system is available.
