Abstract

The primary purpose of this paper is to present changes in travel choices brought about by changes in travel constraints, as predicted by the UMOT model. The secondary purpose of this paper is to describe the UMOT model itself, as it has recently been misinterpreted and misrepresented. The UMOT model, short for the Unified Mechanism of Travel, differs from conventional models in many ways.
