Abstract

The papers in this record examine various aspects of travel demand, mode choice, and system analysis. The potential for gradually restructuring urban areas to reduce the built-in requirements for transportation is described. The correlation of selected socio-economic factors of individuals with their choice of travel attributes as well as the effects of the socio-economic factors in causing car drivers to shift modes are discussed.
