Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2175 contains 16 papers that explore mixed logit models, multiagent transport simulations, travel time forecasting and dynamic origin–destination estimation for freeways, real-time short-term traffic speed level forecasting, multimodal and multiactivity travel planning, and comparison of agent-based transit assignment procedure with conventional approaches. This issue of the TRR also examines models estimated from multiday travel survey, joint revealed preference–stated preference modeling, temporal transferability of mode–destination models, patronage ramp-up analysis model, implicit choice set generation using a constrained multinomial logit model, calibrating activity-based models with external origin–destination information, FEATHERS activity-based simulation platform, multiple objectives in travel demand modeling, visualizing person trips over multiple modes of transport, and generating synthetic populations with multiple control levels.
