Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2176 contains 10 papers that explore integrating an activity-based travel demand model with dynamic traffic assignment and emission models, interaction between land use allocation and transportation, a large-scale Global Positioning System-based household travel survey, travel survey coverage, integrating transportation and land use, calibration and validation of first hybrid accessibility-based model, estimating price elasticities of ferry demand, issues related to changing equilibrium assignment algorithms, an intelligent transportation system as the evaluation tool in a regional demand modeling environment, and an accelerated procedure of multiclass highway traffic assignment for a statewide transportation model.
