Abstract

Experiments were carried out on a section of the M. 1 motorway to determine the most suitable treatment to restore adequate skidding resistance to a worn concrete surface of a high-speed road. The best overall results were given by a diamond pattern of narrow grooves and by wide transverse grooves.
