Abstract

Static frequency changers are all established today in propulsion systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. Growing interest is being shown in the use of trigistor frequency changer-controlled toothed gearless propulsion systems for electric and hybrid energy-saving road and off-road vehicles. The new type of Reverse Conducting trigiwtor indirect frequency changer presented here is very simple in design and has features making it technically superior to thyristor indirect frequency changers of conventional types.
