Abstract

TIC's in Sweden are located in seven regions with an additional national information centre located at the SNRA Head Office. A system to manage the data collection, processing, quality assurance and distribution of information is crucial for the effectiveness of the TIC's. The system implemented in Sweden is called 'TRISS' (TRaffic Information Support System). TRISS is able to handle different types of data in a uniformed manner and integrates with various other systems. For fast, correct and easy managing of data a user-friendly graphical interface is used. Information is presented on thematic maps and easily viewed and edited at regional or national level. This session describes TRISS architecture and the technical aspects of the chosen solution.
