Abstract

Results of truck braking experiments have almost all been either skid to stop or best effort tests with the vehicle's brakes adjusted properly. New tests are undertaken with vehicle brakes set to the just legal condition. A simple diagrammatic explanation of the effective drag factor using the g- g or friction circle there- after has been developed.
