Abstract

More research of two types is needed for the visual requirements for truck driving. 1) The first type should correlate accident data and accident histories with driver visual performance and ocular problems. 2) The second type of research is small scale experimental studies that would relate specific visual problems to specific driving performance measures such as passing and driving in reverse.
