Abstract
The authors have reviewed the state-of -the-art vrith res-pect to the health effects of long term exposure to rrhole-body shock and vibration. After analyzing the epidemio-logical and data availability problems of conducting de-finitive research into the relationship between long-termexnosure to shock and vibration and the health of truckdrivers, they describe the requirements for a feasible,scientifically sound epidemiological research programthat can be implemented incrementally.
