For a well functioning society it is essential that persons display activities and therefore use different locations where these activities take place. Because these locations are mostly spatial separated, one has to make a trip from one to another location. However, a person is not willing to overcome each resistance (time, distance, effort) that is necessary to reach a location. The resistance must be acceptable for him or her. In other words, a location where activities can take place has to be accessible for a person, will it be used. In this inquiry the size of the limits for acceptation for th employees of the Technical Univerity of Delft in the commuter traffic is the most important subject of study. Furthermore an analysis is made of the desired use of dwellings, both in sort and in distance to the location they work. This has been done by analyzing the actual distribution of the locations where the employees live and by looking to the amount of people that are willing to move to Delft.
