Abstract

A campaign mounted by the south Australia department of transport division of road safety and aimed at reducing the incidence the incidence of careless driving is presented. The theme of the campaign was "tunnel vision", a state of mind of children which is said to render them susceptible to accidents on the road. The campaign is introduced, the survey design details and results are given. That the media campaign appears to have been "moderately successful" is concluded.
