The first package of Rail 21 (the so-called Pro-RAIL) is finished, and the next package of extension for the rail-infrastructure is due to begin. Till now on the National Railway Company has made the different plans, which the government had to approve. By the separation of the responsibility for infrastructure and exploitation this procedure has changed dramatically. Now the government has the task to plan the infrastructure. This paper presents recommendations for the needed rail infrastructure in the future.
Abstract
