Abstract

The number of traffic participants killed or injured in road accidents in West Germany should be seen in relation to the current number of registered vehicles. In defining this relation as a grade of safety, a pronounced danger to the motorized two wheeler is evident. One out of 28 of the motorized two wheelers existing in West Germany is injured in traffic accidents.
