Abstract

Tunnels ranging between 50 and 100 meters give rise to the question of which tunnels can be considered short from a lighting point of view and therefore do not need to be lighting during the day. The DIN of July 1972 do not provide an adequate answer. Therefore the luminance and horizontal illumination on the road axis as well as the luminance on the walls are determined. Results are presented.
